Pricing & Payment Policy

This policy explains our prices, sales tax, payment options, payment security, and order-payment stages. Review your final checkout total before completing payment.

1. Transparent Pricing, Sales Tax & Import Duties
All product prices on maoters.com are shown in U.S. dollars (USD) and do not include applicable U.S. sales tax. Sales tax is calculated from the applicable order and delivery details and shown separately at checkout.
Before payment, checkout shows the merchandise amount, applicable discounts, shipping charges, selected service fees, sales tax, and final order total. Shipping and service terms are covered in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
We do not charge customers additional import duties or customs-clearance fees. This does not mean that U.S. sales tax, shipping charges, or optional services are free.
Approved tax-exempt accounts receive the applicable exemption automatically at checkout, within the approved scope. The document-review requirements are explained in our Trade Program Terms.
We work to keep pricing accurate. If a verified pricing error affects your order, we will contact you. If we cancel the order because of that error, any payment collected for the cancelled order will be refunded in full.
2. Accepted Payment Methods
The payment options available for your order are shown at checkout. Supported options include:
- Credit & debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
- PayPal: Pay using the options available through your PayPal account.
- Digital wallets: Apple Pay and Google Pay, where available for your device, browser, and order.
- Buy now, pay later: Affirm and Klarna, where offered for your order.
Affirm and Klarna availability, approval, payment schedules, interest, and fees depend on the provider and the offer presented at checkout. Approval is not guaranteed, and not every plan is interest-free. Review the provider's terms before accepting a plan.
3. Payment Security & Fraud Prevention
- Secure processing: Checkout uses encrypted connections, and payment information is processed through our payment providers.
- Card information: We do not store your complete credit card number or CVV code on our servers.
- Bank verification: Your bank or payment provider may require additional authentication, such as 3D Secure. Complete authentication only through the bank's or provider's secure payment flow.
- Protect your information: Customer support will never ask you to email a full card number, CVV, account password, or one-time security code.
- Order review: We may verify payment and order details before proceeding if a transaction requires a fraud or security review.
4. Order Acceptance & Processing
- Order confirmation: The order confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order and its recorded payment status. It is not a shipping confirmation.
- Payment authorization: A pending card authorization may be a temporary hold rather than a completed charge. It does not by itself confirm that production or shipping has started.
- Processing & custom orders: Standard-order processing is arranged after successful payment. For non-standard custom orders, payment and your confirmation of the final specifications are required before production is arranged.
- Shipping confirmation: A shipping confirmation is a separate update reflecting dispatch. It does not postpone processing or commitments already applicable to your paid order.
- Cancellation by Maoters: We may cancel an order if the item is unavailable, a verified pricing error affects the order, or payment cannot be verified because of a security concern. We will notify you and refund any payment collected for the cancelled order in full to the original payment method. If funds were only authorized and not collected, we will cancel the authorization; your bank determines when the hold is released.
Payment, production, and dispatch are separate stages. Order status must reflect the actual stage, not simply the date an email was sent. Processing and delivery estimates follow our Shipping & Delivery Policy; customer-requested cancellations and refund processing follow our Returns & Refunds Policy.
5. Promotions & Discounts
- Discount codes: Enter a valid code during checkout before completing payment. Generally, one code is allowed per order unless the offer terms state otherwise.
- Offer conditions: Eligibility, expiry dates, product exclusions, and any combination limits follow the specific promotion terms.
- Trade benefits: Eligible account and order-volume discounts are applied automatically under our Trade Program Terms. A manual Trade discount code is not required.
- No retroactive application: Discount codes are not applied retroactively to orders already confirmed.
- Promotional abuse: We may reject unauthorized or abusive use of a promotion or cancel an affected order. Orders cancelled by Maoters are handled as described in Section 4.
